In Loving Memory of Condina

Once in a while, someone crosses your path and you are forever changed. There’s something about them that makes you feel seen, heard, safe and loved on a level that’s not often felt, a healing happening in places you didn’t know that needed to be healed and in an instant you are connected to something greater than yourself.
Our beloved Condina, the matriarch of our herd, was such a creature.

To know her was to love her. She was kind, patient, loving and willing. She embodied beauty and grace with a large and undeniable presence. Horses knew it and humans knew it. She was the queen, referred to by us simply as “Mama”.

“Mama” taught us about the joy of a good brush and Self-care. She taught the value of being connected to where you want to go in order to get there; that connection to your own heart is the key to walking your walk and talking your talk; that being vulnerable is beautiful and that even the worst pain can soften with just the touch of a nose to your heart. She had a clarity about her, a Sage wisdom that somehow connected you to your own internal wisdom. She listened to countless secrets and stories with compassion, loving kindness and a nurturing heart that could heal the deepest wounds. No judgement – be here in this moment and just breathe. We have each other and I have you.

May we hold her magic and her gifts in our hearts forever. She was heaven sent and we are so lucky to have been a part of her herd.

Stand InBalance would like to send a heartfelt thank you to each of you who shared space with her, be it professionally or personally. She loved her job as a healer, and she lived close to 30 years because of her great love for each and every one of us. On the morning of her passing, Condina laid down on her own and died peacefully in the shade with our team and her beloved Cosmo standing by – surrounded by immeasurable love, support and the deepest respect for a life lived to the fullest. Her legacy lives on in the countless lives that’s she’s touched and the powerful work she did during her time here on Earth. Thank you Condina, for all that you have been been and for all that your memory continues to remind us to be.

If you’d like to make a gift in Condina’s memory, donations can be made to the Equipowerment Foundation for Healing Horses and Helping Humans.
